ABOUT NAEC

Welcome to NOBLE ARTS ENTERTAINMENT

Organization Description:

Founded in 2012, Noble Arts Entertainment is a youth-led hybrid creative organization based in Bamenda Cameroon. Noble Arts Entertainment uses the power of film and theatre to transform and develop the capacities of marginalized youths currently affected by the ongoing Anglophone crisis in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon and returnees of illegal migration to engage communities by immortalizing their experiences through performing and visual Arts.

Our mission, vision, and values are;

Our Mission: To provide young people with skills and resources to engage communities by immortalizing their experiences through performing and visual Arts.

Our Vision: We envisage a world where arts inspires young people to create positive change.

Our Values:

1. Creativity: We believe in the power of creativity to inspire, engage, and transform.

2. Collaboration: We believe in working together with our partners and communities to co-create solutions that address local needs and challenges.

3. Empowerment: We believe in empowering young people to take ownership of their ideas and projects, and to be leaders in their communities.

4. Diversity and Inclusion: We believe in creating a safe and inclusive space for all young people, regardless of their background or identity.

5. Sustainability: We believe in using resources responsibly and ensuring that our programs have a positive impact on the environment and the community.

6. Innovation: We believe in the creative and innovative potentials of young people to finding simple solutions to very complex problems and to power the change needed in their communities.

Our Three main Objectives:

1. To provide young people with the necessary skills and resources to create impactful arts projects that address social and comunity challenges.

2. To expand our reach and impact by increasing the access to video technology

3. To produce stories that shift stereotypical narratives about Africa.

Those we Serve:

Our beneficiaries come from diverse backgrounds and may face a range of challenges in their lives, including poverty, discrimination, and limited access to education and resources. They are creative, resilient, and committed to making a positive difference in their communities. Through our programs, we aim to empower these young people with skills, knowledge, and resources to increase not just their employability in the growing Cameroon creative industry but to enhance their digital literacy and entrepreneurship prospectus in this digital era.

Our Inspiration:

Through the years several factors have inspired our work however since 2016, the ongoing crisis in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon has been the principal inspiration for our work. We believe that young people have the power to create positive change in their communities, and we wanted to provide them with a platform to do so. By using filmmaking as a tool for addressing global problems, we hope to empower young people to take action and make a difference in their local communities. We also recognize the importance of arts-based solutions in promoting social change, and we believe that filmmaking can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and inspiring action. Ultimately, our mission is to help young people develop the skills and resources they need to become effective leaders and agents of change in their communities. Furthermore, in Cameroon, there are very few organizations focused on arts for social change. Our hope as pioneers in this industry and field is to build a solid foundation for organizations and individuals interested in this field to thrive. Currently, our organization is addressing the biggest challenges caused by the ongoing crisis which are unemployment, social justice, and community development. We are addressing the issue of unemployment by empowering young people in these communities with skills that can make them employable in the growing arts and creative industry in Cameroon. Furthermore, through especially the skills of editing and cinematography our beneficiaries cover events for a fee which sustains them and their needs. Through the programs, events, and training we organize, and by building empathy we are ensuring the promotion of social justice first among our beneficiaries then the communities which will go a long way to promote community development.
