You will be will be responsible for bringing the companies storytelling vision to life by writing
compelling narratives that align with our vision and target audience.
Key Responsibilities
Here's what you will be doing:
1. Develop original screenplay ideas and concepts for potential film projects.
2. Research and write compelling, character-driven scripts that align with the company's
vision and target audience
3. Collaborate with the director, producers, and other creative team members to refine and
improve script drafts
4. Provide feedback and suggestions on existing scripts to help strengthen the narrative,
dialogue, and overall structure
5. Participate in table reads and script workshops to get feedback and make revisions
6.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, genres, and best practices in
screenwriting7. Meet deadlines and be responsive to notes and feedback from the production team
8. Research and apply for Screenplay Competitions, Funding and Story Competitions.
Who Is The Ideal Scriptwriter
Our ideal Scriptwriter should possess:
1. Strong storytelling and creative writing skills
2. Experience writing scripts, either for film, television, or other media
3. Knowledge of screenplay formatting, structure, and industry standards
4. Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback to improve your writing
5. Excellent communication and collaborative skills
6. Passion for filmmaking and a desire to contribute to the creative process
7. Willingness to work on a volunteer basis as you build your portfolio and experience
